I would not recommend tattooing real skin, especially if you're not completely sure about your skill level. Remember, this kit is designed for beginners and mastering it may take a bit of time. As a beginner with tattooing myself, this is my first ever tattoo, but my extensive drawing experience did help. The quality of the kit truly impressed me. The pen has a nice, comfortable feel to it and the kit includes everything you'll need. If you're having issues with turning it on, make sure the plug is properly inserted into the pen, as that can commonly be the cause.
